KL PC FAIR 2009 [Day 1]
Packed. That’s the best word to describe the situation at the KL PC Fair today. People turned up in the thousands to get the best deals and bargains for IT-related products from booths set up by major global companies at the KL Convention Center.
The Kaspersky team at Room 306 started the day with a bang as they had the grand launch of 1Malaysia 1 Kaspersky limited edition stamps collection. The collaboration between Pos Malaysia and Kaspersky Lab was born after the founder of the brand expressed an interest in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s concept of 1Malaysia. The media appeared in full force for the launcha which was officiated by Mr VT Nathan, President of the Philatelic Society of Malaysia. Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific Managing Director Mr Harry Cheung gave his speech and was immediately surrounded by members of the media as soon as the event was over.

There was a grand total of SIX booths set up by Kaspersky for the PC Fair in KL! You could see a Kaspersky booth and superhero Jackie Chan’s famous smile from almost every turn and corner.

Kaspersky booths were bustling with activity as buyers lined up to buy their favourite antivirus solution and sign up for the Kaspersky Friends and Fan Club. The sales team was warm and friendly, making customers feel at ease as they raised various questions and cleared their doubts about the version of Kaspersky products that would suit them the best.
The Online Antivirus team, which runs the South East Asian eStore for Kaspersky products was also there at Room 306 to set up and manage the registration booth for the Kaspersky Friends and Fan Club or better known as KKLUB.
Enthusiastic buyers bought boxes and boxes of Kaspersky software for family and friends. They went home with many free gifts and premiums as well as a lifetime membership with KKLUB.

You would surprised how many Malaysians woke up early on a Saturday morning to make their way to the KL PC Fair at the KL Convention Centre. If you still haven’t come, tomorrow is your last chance to check it out. We guarantee you won’t regret it.
At approximately 1pm we began preparing for our special event. We were giving away the top three prizes for the Who is Eugene Kaspersky Bloggers Contest. Grand Prize was a 42 inch LCD TV! And the lucky winner was blogger Wilson Ng. The runner ups Marcus Tan and Nicholas Wong both received a Sony PSP worth RM850 and Ipod Shuffle worth RM299 each.
Marketing Manager for Online Antivirus Sdn Bhd, Miss Gladys Lim presented the prizes to the three lucky winners who also received a certificate of participation. The crowd cheered and clapped as the prizes were handed out.
Shoppers were invited into the hall for the Catch the Virus Game and a crowd gathered around as the game became more and more intense. It was an atmosphere of fun and games at Room 306 today as there were various activities for the crowd to join and participate.
The MC kept the crowd entertained with songs and asked the crowd questions about Kaspersky for a chance to win mysterious prizes.

KL PC FAIR 2009 [Day 3]
The third and final day has come. The Kaspersky team is all geared up for the massive Sunday crowd expected to hit the KL PC Fair at the KL Convention Centre today.
People began arriving in full force as soon as the doors opened at 11a.m. and Room 306 was soon filled with buyers. The MC kept the crowd entertained with games and quizzes while promoters explained about the products to potential buyers.
The crowd gathered around the games booth to watch lucky contestants attempt to win mysterious prizes and gifts from the Kaspersky team. People cheered and gave tremendous support as winners emerged from the games booth to receive their prizes.
The shoppers were then asked to take a seat as Rick, a representative from Kaspersky gave a talk about how people can know when their computer is infected. The crowd gathered as the speaker shared his knowledge about the issue in a short and sweet manner.
We managed to get some comments out of several buyers from the main Kaspersky booth at Room 306.
